Account Director

Job purpose:

  • This role is designed to ensure that the many projects conducted within SCS and for SCS clients reach successful outcomes; that milestones are met, resources managed, communication remains consistent and process is followed; that SCS remains at the forefront of knowledge and expertise in all media in order to deliver services unmatched elsewhere
  • The job of an account director is to quickly grasp each client's goals, and make use of the resources of the agency, to manage the account team and ensure maximum growth for the agency and the client through services
  • This role requires industry experience, expertise, and the application of judgment based upon these factors for the creation of successful campaigns for SCS clients

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of specified client relationships (retainer or project based) including account service, project management, and financial accountability for profit contribution
  • Lead the account team on all matters of execution
  • Design and implement process to support a successful Client Services team
  • Consistently model and mentor other members of the Client Services team
  • Speak into the agency management on all Client Services issues and prepare analyses and forecasts of current and future business
  • Understand the holistic business needs of all clients and ensure the agency is meeting them with all possible services
  • Define scope and constantly seek opportunities to evolve mutually beneficial scope growth
  • Ensure profitability of all client work
  • Travel to clients for key business reviews and future planning
  • Problem resolution within the team, across agency departments, and with clients
  • Taking part in pitches for new contracts
  • All other duties necessary as directed by management for the successful servicing of SCS clients

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum ten years client services experience
  • Must have experience with best practices in account management

Compensation:

  • Compensation based upon experience
    • Position is exempt and salaried
    • Position is full-time
