Social Media Designer

Our ideal candidate will be obsessed with leading-edge social media. Paid, owned, and earned. They will have a unique point of view and approach to developing creative for social media that sets brands apart, from a simple post to an Insta-ception concept. You show us. They’ll possess a passion for great concept, great design, and great craft – but won’t be afraid to roll up their sleeves and put some good thinking into a quick, down and dirty edit or post, as well. They will be passionate about the chance to apply their skills across multiple disciplines including photography, video, digital content, digital marketing and web solutions. They’ll work with other creative team members including creative directors, strategists, designers, writers, producers, motion graphics designers and video content editors.


  • Collaborate with Project Manager, and Project Producer, writers, and creative directors
  • Working as the key creative to the social team
  • Helping develop concepts and content for social media and digital
  • Shepherd and craft the shop’s social media creative product from start to finish
  • Provide guidance and inspiration for creative partners
  • Develop presentations and pitches with the social media director
  • QC all work before it leaves the shop
  • Create mood boards, presentation decks, rationale, and any method of presenting and easily communicating concepts as needed
  • Build and farm a bank of reliable resources that help continue to increase the quality of the shop’s product, as needed
  • Help continue to level-up the quality and create breakthrough ideas in social media
  • Project management support, as needed
  • Client contact and management, as needed
  • Be a complete team player


  • Background in marketing, communication, or other related discipline
  • High organization skills, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Fearless – not afraid to be a bold and outside the box thinker
  • Love for unique, integrated marketing methods
  • Kick ass social content portfolio with 2-3 years of industry experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with close attention to detail is a must
  • A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of applicable programs -- Mac OS, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Keynote, etc.
  • Photography and video skills a plus, plus. You don’t need to be a pro, but you should have an ability.
  • A good working knowledge of production, Facebook/Instagram ad management, and all social protocols
  • Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative and social marketing people
  • Light HTML skills a plus
